Following the success of the 2007 Australian Salsa Classic, we are currently gearing up for the 2008 Annual Australian Salsa Classic, the biggest Salsa Competition in the Southern Hemisphere. The Australian Salsa Classic 2008 is an annual Latin Dance Extravaganza hosting the biggest salsa competition in the southern hemisphere. This competition is the only and official Australian qualifications for the ESPN World Salsa Championships. As well as the competition, the Australian Salsa Classic will also play host to 2 days of dance workshops, 3 nights of amazing shows and 3 Grand dance parties, featuring Australia's best Dj's, instructors and performers. We are proud to acknowledge that two of our representing teams that qualified through the Australian Salsa Classic in 2007 went on to be Finalist at the ESPN World Salsa Championships. Modus Vivendi Salsa Productions placed an amazing 6th in the finals and Oliver
and Luda Kroitor defended their title for the second year running and were crowned 'World Salsa Champions' for the third time.
This event will be a 2 day and 3 night event with the Competition held in Sydney, Australia. The winners of the Australian Salsa Classic will be the Australian Representatives at the ‘World Salsa Championships’ held in Disney World,Orlando, USA and televised to over 100,000,000 homes around the world on the sports channel ‘ESPN .This will be your chance to see Australia's best salsa dancers compete, perform and instruct.
